By cleaning the toilet, we don't just mean a wipe over the seat. No, you won't get rid of it that easily! We're talking about a thorough cleaning with long-lasting toilet cleaner. Scrub the inside of your toilet with this, and use a different suds for the seat and the outside of the toilet. Oh, and before we forget: the door handle, light switch, flush knob and sink should also be cleaned. These seem to harbour the most bacteria! So give them a good scrub with our all-purpose cleaner. Finally, mop the floor and your toilet is spotless again.

Spoiler alert: if you clean your toilet regularly, substances such as bleach are not needed at all! If only we had known that before... So just keep cleaning. Extra tip from Marcel: if you do find limescale in the toilet bowl, put a toilet paper or cloth soaked in cleaning vinegar on it. After an hour of soaking, you can rinse away the limescale in no time.
