Deodorant

To answer that question for you, let's go back to where it all began: sweat. Sweat has a neutral odor. It is bacteria - naturally occurring on the skin - that can cause an unpleasant sweat odor. And that's where deodorant comes in. Marcel's Green Soap's deodorant stick contains baking soda. Baking soda ensures that the bacteria that cause foul odors have no chance, keeping you smelling fresh for a long time. Marcel is not a fan of ingredients such as aluminum and alcohol in deodorants. You won't find these in Marcel's Green Soap deodorants.

The sustainable deodorant from Marcel's Green Soap is made with renewable ingredients. When you put something on your skin, it's nice to know that it doesn't contain any nasty ingredients. After all, you only have one skin and you want to take care of it! Another advantage: Marcel's deodorants are also packaged in a more sustainable way. They come in cardboard (sticks), recycled aluminium (sprays) or recycled plastic (rollers).

It can take some getting used to a deodorant stick. But once you figure out how to use the product, you'll never want anything else! The deodorant stick can feel a bit stiff, which is why you need to let it warm up on your skin first. You do this as follows: you remove the cap from the deodorant stick, push the deodorant stick up, put it on your armpit and let the deodorant stick “warm up” for a moment before rolling. Hold this for 5 seconds and then move the stick back and forth across your armpit. Note: You don't need much of this deodorant. Two dashes in the hollow of each armpit is enough!

Besides the fact that our deodorants leave you smelling fresh all day long, they are also packaged more sustainably. Our deo rollers have a bottle and cap made of recycled plastic (including ball made of bio-based plastic). The deodorant spray has a bottle made of recycled aluminum, with a cap made of recycled plastic. And last but certainly not least, our deodorant sticks are packaged in FSC cardboard and are therefore plastic-free!
