Do you really want to impress with your Christmas gifts this year? Then give something that will not only make the recipient happy, but also the planet. We share 5x sustainable gift tips that are also very affordable.

1. New: Gift sets from Marcel's Green Soap

Marcel came up with a brilliant idea: Marcel's Green Soap Giftsets. You can really make everyone happy with that. There are four different Giftsets:

  • Hand Soap Gift Set: 3 bottles of hand soap in the scents Orange & Jasmine, Lavender & Rosemary, Sandalwood & Cardamom. For everyone with green fingers and/or a green heart.
  • Argan & Oudh Giftset: with shampoo, hand soap and shower gel in the ultimate winter scent: Argan&Oudh. A delicious scent for under the tree!
  • Vanilla & Cherry Blossom Giftset: filled with shampoo, hand soap and shower gel in a refreshing, soft scent. For everyone you wish some positive energy.
  • Christmas Giftbox: filled with shampoo, hand soap and shower gel in the favorite scent line Argan&Oudh. The ultimate gift for someone who has everything!

And the best part is: the Gift Sets are festively packaged, so you can put them under the tree right away.

2. Vintage gift

Agree to only give second-hand gifts to each other. Online and in the shopping streets you will find enough vintage shops filled with unique items that are yearning for a second (or third) life. These vintage finds also make great conversation pieces during Christmas dinner: Who did it belong to? Where was it originally bought? And how did it end up in the thrift store or vintage shop?

3. Give an experience

A gift doesn't always have to be physical. You can also give a nice memory, for example in the form of a voucher for a picnic at your favorite spot in nature or an adventurous camping weekend. Also nice: give a strip card with 10 activities for 2025. From baking cookies together to building huts. And from date night to wine tasting at home. It doesn't all have to be big and exciting, happiness is in the small things!

4. Make something beautiful yourself

Surprise the recipient with something 'homemade'. And of course we don't mean a cardboard surprise. Teach yourself knitting, sewing, painting or woodworking and create a personal work of art for the recipient. That learned skill is also a gift to yourself!

5. Sustainable packaging: Furoshiki

And one last tip: wrap your presents sustainably. So, no colorful wrapping paper that ends up in the paper bin the same evening. Instead, use the Furoshiki method: for this wrapping technique from Japan, you tie a nice piece of fabric around the present. A napkin or tea towel will also work, of course! There are all kinds of ways to fold and tie (ask the internet for help) so that you can really make something festive out of it.
