Our laundry and cleaning products last for at least 2 years. However, trust us, they'll likely be used up long before then! For our personal care products, it is recommended to use them within 12 months after opening the packaging.

Marcel's Green Soap's dishwasher tablets and capsules are packed in a soluble foil. This foil dissolves during washing.

The cleaning products from Marcel's Green Soap are formulated so that you can use them on natural stone, marble, wooden floors and parquet. Please note that our bathroom cleaner is not suitable for natural stone. However, it is wise to always try the product on a small corner before getting too enthusiastic, as there are a lot of new and different materials these days that we have no knowledge of.

All our products are safe to use at home if you have pets. Please note that an animal can also be allergic. When cleaning, keep your pet at a distance.

All our products are safe to use on black sanitaryware. We do recommend always testing on a small corner first, as there are lots of new and different materials these days that we have no knowledge of. Please note that our bathroom cleaner is not suitable for natural stone.

Our detergent cannot be used for wool washing, as they contain enzymes for extra stain removal. For this, it is better to use a special wool detergent to keep the laundry beautiful.

It may take some time to get used to a deodorant stick. But once you understand how to use the product, you will never want to do anything else! The deodorant stick can feel a bit stiff, which is why you should first let it warm up on your skin. You do this as follows: you remove the cap from the deo stick, push the deo stick up, place it on your armpit and let the deo stick 'warm up' before you start rolling. Hold this for 5 seconds and then move the stick back and forth over your armpit. Note: you don't need much of this deodorant. Two lines in the hollow of each armpit is enough!

Ingredients

All our products (both personal care and home care) have a microplastic-free formula. We do not add any microplastics or silicones during formulation.

All our products are vegan. Even the glycerine we use is plant-based.

We do not use animals to test our products. We also know that our suppliers do not use animal testing. In addition, the products are safe to use around animals.

Our hand soap, shower gel and shampoo contain a very small amount of SLES (SLES is much milder than SLS) to make the soap foam. The SLES variant we use is extra mild. Unfortunately, you cannot tell this from the name on the label. But one SLES is not the same as the other. In addition, we always add extra moisturizing ingredients (vegetable glycerin and aloe vera) so that the drying effect that SLES could have is not there. Then why do we use SLES? If you replace SLES with ingredients that seem 'more natural' or 'greener' to obtain, you may need 8x more raw materials, making your product a lot less sustainable. Sustainable, natural or vegan are different things. Sustainability is always our number one priority. Finally: you can never look at one raw material and draw the conclusion of a sustainable product is yes/no. An evaporation consists of many more raw materials. We also look at biodegradability, how ingredients are perceived in the base and of course the packaging.

Our products are not 100% natural. We hear you thinking: Huh, but aren't you guys a sustainable soap brand! True! Natural and sustainable are often mentioned in the same breath. Yet natural is not always sustainable and vice versa. In this blog, we explain how it is.
