After use: wat te doen met jouw lege fles Marcel’s Green Soap?

After use: what to do with your empty bottle of Marcel's Green Soap?

What do you do with your empty shampoo bottle? Just throwing it away is a waste. We give you a few tips on how to give the empty bottle a new life after use.

Biodegradable & microplastic free

Our green soap mission doesn't stop at the supermarket shelf, we think it's important that our soapies don't cause unnecessary damage to the environment after use. That's why all our products are at least 95% biodegradable. This means that the soap residue that leaves your home via the drain is broken down by nature. In addition, all our soapies are microplastic-free. Great, right?! But did you know that you too can make an important contribution to our sustainable mission? For example, by using refill packaging.

Refill

As you may already know, Marcel is crazy about refills. It prevents a lot of planetary suffering. Marcel's Green Soap bottles are sturdy enough to last for years. It's a real shame to throw them away after use. In addition, a refill pack contains much less plastic than a bottle. With the refill of our detergent you save 85% plastic compared to a bottle (and it's cheaper too). In addition to detergent refills, we also have refill packs for Marcel's Green Soap all-purpose cleaner spray, dishwashing liquid, shower gel and hand soap.

Throw away

If you do decide to throw away your bottle after use, it is important that you throw the bottle in the plastic waste. Only then can it be recycled. Plastic that ends up in the residual waste is (in most municipalities) immediately put in the incinerator. While we have ensured that the plastic packaging of our soapies is fully recyclable. All parts - yes, even the pump of the hand soap - are 100% recyclable. So throw the bottle in its entirety in the PMD waste (Plastic, Metal & Beverage Cartons), then you know for sure that the plastic will get a new life. Our refill bags are also recyclable. So throw these in the plastic waste too.

Throwing away hygienic wipes

Have you discovered our hygienic wipes yet? These all-rounders are handy for home and on the go. From bathroom floor to dashboard - you can clean everything with them. The wipes are also made of vegetable fibers, making them 100% biodegradable. So you might think that you can throw them on the compost heap or in the GFT waste after use. However, we advise you to simply throw them in the residual waste. The wipes do not dissolve quickly enough to prevent nuisance in nature or a blockage in the sewer. Better safe than sorry!
