MICROPLASTICS: A BIG PROBLEM IN SMALL PIECES
Microplastics are found everywhere: in oceans, soil, surface water, and our food. Bizarre, isn't it? Recently, scientists even found these tiny pieces of plastic in the human body. The harmfulness of their presence is still unknown. But the mere presence is not a pleasant thought.
MICROPLASTICS IN CLEANING & CARE PRODUCTS
The fact that microplastics end up in nature, our food, and bodies through the breakdown of larger plastic products is bad enough. But deliberately adding microplastics to the products we use is even worse. And most of the time, these tiny pieces of plastic don't even serve a purpose. Microplastics are often added to make a product look 'better'. For example, some brands give their detergents a milky color because it is supposed to look nicer. And this color is caused by an ingredient made from microplastics. It's unnecessary if you ask us. Or do you think the color of your detergent is important? ;) However you spin it, it's unnecessary, and it's high time brands stopped this practice.
