During the final of the fifth edition of the Coolest Dutch Brands Award, Marcel's Green Soap was selected as the 2021 winner by both the Professional Jury and the Public Jury. This places Marcel's Green Soap in an impressive list with previous winners Fairphone, VanMoof, De Vegetarische Slager and Naturalis.

Coolest Dutch Brands is an annual election that focuses on sustainable and originally Dutch brands. Coolest Dutch Brands is an initiative of FONK media. In the course of 2021, the editors of FONK magazine selected twelve brands of Dutch origin that have sustainability high on their agenda. “With a lot of courage and clever marketing, they successfully manage to appeal to a broad audience in order to actually bring about change.”
