EU Ecolabel

At Marcel’s Green Soap, we believe that environmental claims must be verifiable. That is why we are working to have more and more of our products certified with the EU Ecolabel, the European Union’s official environmental label. This independent label sets strict requirements for ingredients, production, packaging and environmental impact. In this way, we make our environmental ambitions concrete and verifiable.

At Marcel’s Green Soap, we use bottles made from recycled plastic, produced from old plastic packaging. By making packaging from recycled materials, we reduce waste and limit the production of new plastic.

By using refills, we can work together to reduce plastic waste. Refills contain less material than our standard bottles, which helps to conserve raw materials. What’s more, refills are better value for money. So it’s a win-win situation.

Beauty is on the inside

 

Our formulas are made with care. All our products are vegan, and we deliberately do not add microplastics to our formulas. Furthermore, at least 95% of the organic ingredients in our cleaning products are biodegradable. Read on to find out how we achieve this:

We deliberately do not add microplastics to our products. In doing so, we follow the European definition of microplastics, as outlined by the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA).

For our cleaning products, at least 95% of the organic ingredients are biodegradable. We assess the biodegradability of ingredients using internationally recognised OECD test methods. Biodegradable ingredients can be broken down by micro-organisms into water, energy and biomass.

Did you know that all Marcel’s Green Soap products are vegan? This means that our products do not contain any ingredients of animal origin. We also do not carry out animal testing on our products, nor do we commission anyone else to do so.
