What are renewable ingredients?
Raw materials form the basis of all the products we use every day. These raw materials are obtained from all kinds of (natural) sources. For some sources: gone = gone. The raw materials you take from them never grow back. An example of these non-renewable raw materials are fossil fuels, including petroleum and natural gas. Apart from being environmentally polluting, they are therefore in limited supply. For instance, did you know that the accessible supply of petroleum will be exhausted within - an estimated - 40 years? And that while the global economy is still dependent on these fossil fuels.
Renewable ingredients are raw materials that come from sustainable sources that are not depleted and have as little environmental impact as possible. That is, the source replenishes itself within a relatively short time frame. You understand: for our soapies, we choose as many renewable ingredients as possible.
A little bit about our renewable ingredients
Ever since the creation of Marcel's Green Soap, we have been working to produce our soapies as sustainably as possible. We are constantly looking for the best ingredients for you and the planet. This has led to an ever-growing list of sustainable benefits. Besides smelling great and working well, our soapies have a microplastic-free formula, are at least 95% biodegradable and packed in recycled materials. And because we want future generations to continue to benefit from Mother Nature, we use as many renewable ingredients as possible. So you'll clean your home and skin extra well!
